Our Journey

Alfresco Concept Caterings was founded in the year 2012, with a humble beginning of serving 10 people in a private dinner gathering. With no prior experience or expertise in the catering industry, we forayed into this sector with a passion of serving authentic global cuisines with niche service and presentation, while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and freshness. Over the last decade, we have executed over 2000+ small and big gatherings, ranging from Weddings, Social Events, Corporate Events, Government Events, Birthday Parties, Sundowner’s, Brunches and innumerable casual gatherings all across western India. We believe that our success lies not in getting a new client, but serving the same client again! We take pride in having been repeatedly associated with the most elite corporates and High net-worth Individual families of Gujarat. Meet Our Founders

Alfresco Food was founded by Rohan Sheth, in the year 2012. With no formal qualification in culinary art, it was born out of passion and understanding of good food.

Rohan Sheth did his Masters in International Business from the reputed Deakin University in Melbourne Australia, after completing his Bachelors in Commerce from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. His schooling was from Saint Kabir School throughout.

After completing his Masters in the year 2010, he was appointed as a Business and Brand Development Manager in a reputed Wellness Company based in Ahmedabad. However, his love for food and his entrepreneurial instincts pulled him out of the Corporate World and he launched his pilot project in the name of ‘Alfresco Fruit Bar & Café’ - Ahmedabad’s first ever Fruit Café.

The venture gained popularity in no time, which led to the expansion of the project towards a full fledged restaurant, outdoor caterings, ready-to-eat Frozen food and Indian Sweets. Rohan Sheth was joined by his spouse Rima Sheth, in 2020, who herself is a Graduate in Family Business and Entrepreneurship (MBA) from Nirma University. She left behind her vast experience as a GST consultant, having worked in the field for 8 years, to pursue her entrepreneurial passion in the food industry. She founded Varaq Artisanal Sweets, along with her husband, in the year 2020, which started as a humble home-kitchen making Traditional Indian Sweets. It has now transformed into Gujarat's first ever cloud kitchen for Sweets, manufacturing freshly made-to-order traditional Indian sweets serving retail, corporate and bulk orders from their online store.
